Our History

Since 2012, we have been carrying out educational and training activities throughout Italy. EDI Onlus was founded as a spin-off of Save the Children to serve as an operational partner in local educational services and to develop innovative training programs based on the rights-based approach and positive education. Over the years, numerous experts from various sectors have joined the initial group of members, chosen for their specific skills, passion, and shared vision, thereby enriching our teams.

Our original three offices are in Milan, Rome, and Naples. In 2019, we opened an office in Palermo as well. This expansion enables us to operate extensively across the entire national territory and to develop a comprehensive understanding of the socio-educational evolution in Italy.

In more than 10 years of experience, we have grown from having a single client and strategic partner to collaborating with approximately one hundred partners. These partners include third sector entities and social enterprises, companies, universities, research institutions, local authorities, and public bodies.
